I quickly finished, dried off and got dressed for the evening. I walked out of the hotel room and almost collided with the maid. She was apologizing and talking rapidly in French. Looking back I think she feared I would report her to the management. Obviously the intrusion was a mistake on her part. I gave her a smile and thumbs up and went on my way to dinner. There would be no benefit in reporting this embarrassing error. No harm done!

That lock was not replaced until it became painfully obvious that it needed to be, then as soon as it was replaced, we moved.
