Just labeling one side as “racist” is a erroneous view that I would expect from a 5th grader. As a reenactor, I have had to deal with that a lot. Some being labeled a “racist” just for wearing a grey uniform, just because they were low on confederates that particular weekend. It’s called “Galvanizing”, and it happens whenever one side has too many reenactors, and they ask for volunteers to play the other side. If so, why label them racists? Most people do not realize, but a large chunk of reenactors are either currently serving soldiers, or veterans (Mainly vietnam). Honestly, I don’t know what I would feel if I put my life on the line so that my people may be able to do what THEY want to do, not what their Government tells them to do, only to come back home, go participate in a reenactment, and get called a racist either there or online, and told “I’m not a real patriot.”
