What I do after bathing and towel-drying, is to spritzing/wipe down my underarms, crotch, anal region, and feet with a solution of water and true lavender essential oil (a patch test with the School Out For Summer Vintage Shirt and I will buy this lavender EO beforehand will determine any sensitivity to the EO). This essential oil is mildly antibacterial and can help keep odors at bay for many hours since it actually kills a sizable percentage of bacteria rather than s… Otherwise, what you need to do is get rid of the smell thoroughly, and then prevent it coming back. So, how to do that? To get out ahead of this, you need to catch up – you’ve been behind the “stink” curve, allowing it to perpetuate itself and embed itself. You aren’t going to like this, but: First, shave your armpits. Well, not really shave-shave – that would just add to your problems. Rather, trim the hair close. Now use a mild detergent, like a “gentle on the School Out For Summer Vintage Shirt and I will buy this hands” dish detergent. Again, lather up thoroughly and work it in. After it sits for a minute or so, rinse thoroughly. Now pour a goodly quantity of baking soda in one hand, run the other hand under the water stream, and then let the run-off from the wet hand dribble onto the baking soda – in other words, just enough to wet it, but not enough to wash it away. Rub the wet baking soda between your hands to make a paste, then smear it on each armpit. Once again, let it sit for a minute or so. Dry off. Your pits might be a little raw. But they should not have a noticeable odor. (If you still smell any odor, then the problem is beyond anything I can deal with…). Smear your pits, wall-to-wall, with tea-tree oil. Blot any excess with soft toilet paper or tissue. Apply a new deodorant, if your pits are not too irritated.
